Les Wright, a lifelong Liverpool supporter, has accepted the role of Ambassador to Jamie Carragher’s 23 Foundation. The aim of the appointment is to promote the 23 foundation in terms of joint projects and use contacts within various business & media organisations to get the 23 foundations charitable aims out to a wider audience.
The first project involves an international 5 as side competition run in conjunction with the LFC Foundation in Rotterdam May 14. The LFC Foundation will provide coaching staff to coach aspiring young footballers and monies raised from the charitable event will be split between the two foundations.
“The 23 Foundation is delighted to be working with Les Wright as Ambassador. Les has been very supportive of our charity and has been instrumental in helping us raise funds for a number of years now. A dedicated supporter with hundreds of European games behind him following his beloved reds all over Europe, Les manages to find time to donate for charitable purposes in addition to running his own business. It’s a privilege to be working with Les who is very infectious with his appetite, dedication and passion to help others.” Jamie Carragher/Mike Lepic – 23 Foundation.
The Liverpool FC Foundation is working in collaboration with the 23 Foundation on an international LFC supporters club 5 aside competition in Rotterdam in May 2014 to raise funds for both the Liverpool FC Foundation and The Jamie Carragher 23 Foundation. Funds raised will be ploughed back into community initiatives benefitting young people” Mark Haig – Head of LFC Foundation Operations.
“Being approached by the 23 foundation to be an ambassador is a truly great privilege. I hope to use my influence to develop relationships with global reach to promote the good work of Jamie Carragher’s 23 Foundation”. Les Wright – Ambassador 23 Foundation.
